Throughout our history as a church there have been defining moments where we took important steps into new seasons of ministry. We are in the midst of one such moment and on Sunday, June 27th, at our potluck and town hall meeting we began exploring the path ahead of us. We don't want anyone to miss the information shared there so we have provided the audio and document below. And please continue praying that God would forge a passionate unity in us around our mission as a worshipping community of influence.

What is the heart behind “Fellowship Unleashed”?

After a decade of ministry, we are poised to influence our world, beginning with our own community, like never before. God is prompting us to collectively embrace our shared vision of “connected lives, connecting lives” and to passionately, creatively and intentionally engage the needs of our world with genuine spiritual life.

What changes should we expect?

Any changes we make will be in complete alignment with our present mission and values. Our leadership team is actively evaluating our current equipping and outreach strategies, as well as our facilities. Our commitment is to maximize our influence while preserving our identity as biblically-based, Spirit-led community of faith called by God live out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

What does this mean for the Fellowship family?

All of us (leadership included) will have opportunity to prayerfully explore where and how we might generously bring to bear the unique time, talents and treasure entrusted to us by our generous God for the fulfillment of our mission. As always, we are assuming that every person who calls Fellowship Bible Church home has a special part to play in our worshiping community of influence.

What difference will a new facility make?

While our present facilities are an amazing provision we have enjoyed for several years, they will eventually be inadequate to support our efforts to influence what continues to be one of the fastest growing areas in Tennessee. We are quickly approaching the limits of our present facilities in terms of parking, varied ministry space, accessibility and visibility. A new facility will optimize our long-term ability to effectively reach and serve Rutherford County and beyond.

What’s next?

You can expect a variety of opportunities in the coming months to dialogue with leadership about our future. You can also expect increased communication from leadership in several formats. Your questions and comments are encouraged as we navigate the path ahead. Our elders will be readily available to discuss ongoing initiatives with you as you have need.
